Forest River Press is an independent publishing company
located on Japan's
far north island of Hokkaido, the potato capital of Japan.
WM. (Wilhelmina) PENN is a native of
Pittsburgh, Pa. She arrived in Japan in 1973,
bought a TV in 1982 and has been watching
it all over the archipelago ever since. Penn
has written the weekly TV column “Televiews”
for the Daily Yomiuri--the English-language
edition of Japan’s largest newspaper,
Yomiuri Shimbun--since 1987.
